Vision

The Fogarty Alumni Network is a multinational organization of public health specialists who are united in promoting the growth of collaborative research and intervention projects and the expansion of a modern public health perspective.

Mission

The Network will develop and implement strategies to help trainees in their roles as public health professionals. It will formulate a strong, collective voice on public health issues and establish collaborative links within the region and with other international public health entities.

Goals

SUPPORT: To help intermediate term trainees reintegrate into their home country institutions and positions in a way that supports and uses their training knowledge and experiences.

RESEARCH: To facilitate international and/or regional, interdisciplinary research and intervention projects that will be conducted by members of FAN

LEADERSHIP: To promote leadership and other professional skills among members of FAN through educational modules and through teaching in workshops, conduct of research, and involvement in community intervention programs

Objectives

  1. Create a sense of connection among CEE public health scientists who participated in CIREH programs
  2. Serve as a communication platform regarding funding opportunities
  3. Serve as an educational platform for skills enhancement
  4. Serve as a resource platform (funding for workshops, research projects)
  5. Serve as a collaborative platform for expertise/idea sharing and professional/personal networking
